We continue to develop a programme of opportunities for Continuing /Joint Professional Development, Leadership Development, Succession Planning, and Talent Management.

We offer a range of professional development opportunities for teachers and school support staff, which extend our own strong learning culture. These build on our initial teacher training and induction core offers as we endeavour to

  • identify the best teachers and leaders from across our alliance to provide school-based professional development
  • tailor development to meet the specific needs of schools
  • offer coaching and mentoring
  • evaluate the impact of professional development across the alliance
  • offer opportunities for formal accreditation or school-based research

We can support schools to develop successful succession planning strategies which identify and develop leadership potential. To meet this responsibility, we can:

  • develop future headteachers to help meet the most pressing national needs ( see our Gateway to Headship page ) add hyperlink
  • put processes in place to identify potential leaders in areas of need
  • develop potential leaders within and across your schools ( se our Middle Leadership page) add hyperlink
  • build strategic governance and partnerships in order to make decisions about developing potential leaders
